BioI'm in college and loving it! I'm all for new experiences and learning to love who you are... I love music and art but my life dream is veterinary medicine so I'm a biomajor... I'm a proud member of the coolest suite EVER... I love to read, esp. Ray Bradbury, J.R. Tolkein, C.S. Lewis, James Herriot, Robin McKinley, Orson Scott Card... My favorite music includes but IS NOT LIMITED TO the Barenaked Ladies, GreenDay, Sum*41, MXPX, Blink-182, Nickel Creek, Cat Stevens, All-American Rejects, Bruce Springsteen, Talking Heads, my 80s mix(es), my girly mix(es), the Peter Pan soundtrack (from the most recent version, starring Jeremy Sumpter as Peter Pan :), the Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack (this and the above were both Christmas presents; Squanto, I can never thank you enough! :), Alanis Morissette, Coldplay, and other various bands...
My family is crazy too, and anyone who's met them will agree. I got my openmindedness from my liberal parents, including my appreciation and acceptance of cultures around the world. My mom teaches art at an elementary school but dreams of art therapy for challenged children, and the peace corps; my dad, on the other hand, spent 6 years in the Navy and now modifies H-60 helicopters for the government. He's been midlifing for years, and recently got a motorcyle (which is SO fun to ride!:) My brother, Ian, is 13 and taller than I am! (5'4.5")... he's young and naive, and i love him for it. He has years yet to figure out what he wants to do for a living, but science is his favorite and "geodes make him dreamy." He also plays classics soccer, but the latest craze is middle school football....? My sister, Lesley, is 16 and nothing like me except that we both have blue eyes--she has blond hair, writes lefthanded, sunburns badly, and towers over me at 5'10"... when I was little I told her she was adopted, and for years I think she believed me. We also have two Bassetts, Rufus and Dixie, who are more stupid than rocks but sweeter than honey; two outdoor cats, Soji and Julius, who are more dogs than the dogs themselves; a betta fish; and three frogs that Lesley saved from the Merchant minnow-tanks.
